Jay Meuser Memorial Award
On the 100th anniversary of his birth, the Jay Meuser Memorial Award was reinstated by the National Watercolor Society. After his passing away in 1963, the Jay Meuser Memorial Award was presented for eleven consecutive years.
Elaine Daily-Birnbaum was given the award at the 91st Annual National Watercolor Society Awards Luncheon for her abstract painting "Other Wonders" on October 22, 2011. Other recipients are listed below.

(Jay Meuser 100th anniversary)
Jay Meuser was accepted as member of this prestigious organization in 1955, when it was called the California Water Color Society. At that time, he had received several awards for watercolor painting and was also juried into some of the society's traveling shows across the United States and Mexico.
